BBL/IPL/Photofacial
What is BBL/IPL/Photofacial
Broad Band Light (BBL) treatment is also known as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) of Photofacial. It is a skin rejuvenation treatment that is powered by the most effective, safe and advanced light source, and used to improve a variety of aging skin conditions on the face, neck, hands, décolleté, shoulders and other parts of the body. This new and exciting research has been collected by Dr. Patrick Bitters and Stanford University proving its incredible benefits. The study found that BBL promotes changes that functionally rejuvenates genes at a molecular level. The treatment can be tailored to suite your specific needs targeting specific conditions such as:
- Broken Blood Capillaries
- Rosacea and Redness
- Freckles
- Sun Damage, Age Spots
- Fine Lines
- Acne
- Skin Firmness
- Uneven Pigmentation
- Dull Complexion
- Skin Textural Issues
How Does it Work?
This technology produces light energy, which creates a gentle heating action in the upper layers of the skin. The heat is then absorbed by the targeted areas stimulating the skin cells to regenerate new collagen. In addition, the photo-thermal energy will improve or eliminate fine vessels that cause redness and reduce unwanted melanin that produces pigmented lesions. This process will restore your skin to its natural beauty, even out your skin tone, while making it appear smoother, more vibrant and younger looking.
What Should I Expect? / Benefits
Depending on the number of skin conditions, you may see an improvement in your skin after 7-10 days. Following the treatment, your face may be flushed, warm feeling, and any brown areas will appear slightly darker. The darker spots will continue to dry up and flake off within 7-10 days. Sunscreen is highly recommended. The length of your treatment will dependent upon the size of the area you are wishing to treat.

BBL and Rosacea
Rosacea is a skin condition that leaves people red-faced from dilated blood vessels and chronic flushing. Rosacea can also cause pimples and/or blisters on the nose and cheeks. For men and women, BBL/IPL can successfully treat dilated blood vessels and redness, while greatly reducing the episodes of flushing with long-term effectiveness.
BBL and Sun Damage
Sun damage takes its toll on our skin in numerous ways. Long-term exposure to the sun can result in pigmentation changes in the skin. These are commonly referred to as brown spots, sunspots, or hyperpigmentation apparent on the face, neck, chest and hands. After a series of treatments you will see a significant reduction of unwanted pigmentation and the appearance of smoother, revitalized skin.
