Electrolysis

What is Electrolysis?

Electrolysis was the first innovative technique developed for the permanent destruction of hair on the body. With all the current technology on the market today, it continues to hold its value as it is safe and effective on all skin and hair colours.

How does it work?

A delicate and fine wire filament is gently inserted into the hair follicle which hold and nourishes the hair. Once the filament reaches the hair root, an electrical energy source is released creating coagulation of the nourishment source to the hair. The goal of electrolysis is to destroy the active region within the follicle preventing further growth. Since each hair is treated individually, the precision of Electrolysis makes it an ideal choice for shaping the sculpting the eyebrow region.

What can I expect?

During an Electrolysis treatment, you will experience a slight tingling sensation in the skin. This sensation is tolerated by most, however if you believe you have a hypersensitive skin, topical anesthesia is available for use to reduce any discomfort. Following your treatment you may experience some redness and mild swelling which resolves itself shortly thereafter.

How often do I have to come?

Initially, frequent visits are required in order to eliminate the majority of hairs from the desired treatment site. As the hair growth begins to slow down, visits are spread out further and further apart.
